Paramaribo, Suriname -- July 13, 2012 - Suriname is spending some 17 million Suriname dollars (US$ 8.5) in preparation of the Eleventh Caribbean Festival of the Arts Carifesta 11, scheduled for August of 2013 in Suriname. Tuesday saw the launching of the project at the Cabinet of the President.

Castries - July 6, 2012 - The Caribbean Export Development Agency (Caribbean Export) says it will showcase regional talent during the London 2012 Olympics. It said the Caribbean Soul Fusion on August 9, will feature six emerging artistes and two headline acts and forms a part of the agency’s London Engage initiative highlighting a wide range of Caribbean genres, namely reggae, soca, creole music, jazz and folk music.
